What does this plugin do?
This plugin is designed to provide an intuitive visual interface for exploring time-based metadata such as markers, annotations, and editorial notes across media assets. With its latest enhancement, the Timespan Viewer now seamlessly integrates with our Metadata Viewer plugin, enabling the dynamic display of subclips and their metadata. This unified view allows users to quickly navigate and contextualize both editorial metadata and defined subclips, making it easier to review, segment, or repurpose media content.
How to trigger:
The Timespan Viewer, if so configured, can show the user all of the existing subclips that have been created in an item. In order be able to see information in the system, user must either create new subclips for an item, or open an item with existing subclips.
User Experience:
In order to see the subclips created, their In & Out points, as well as any other metadata that may have been applied to the subclip(s), open the item in the Item View module.
Then if using Cantemo v5, on the left side of the page, click on the last icon at the bottom of the page, the red stop watch icon, to open the Timespans module.
If using Cantemo v6, towards the top of the page, under the Title of the item, click on the last tab, 'Timespans', to open the Timespans Module.
Here is where the user will be able to see all of the subclips currently created for the item, their In & Out points, as well as any other metadata associated with the subclip(s).
